On Mai 2,2023 the minister of higher education and scientific research Mr.KamelBaddari gave the start signal for the launch of ‘6+1’ digital platforms, which brings the total number of digital platforms released by the ministry to 16 digital platforms. Mr.Baddari stated that the launch of the new platforms comes within the framework of digitalizing the sector under the plan of elaborating‘42+4’ digital platforms. The first newly launched is the electronic single window platform, which will provide services to about quarter million employees affiliated to the sector of higher education and scientific research. This platform would embody the principle of efficiency and success in administrative management. The second platform is related to authentication and ratification of scholar attestations for university graduated since the Algerian independence.
The third platform is an electronic portfolio aiming at supporting the electronic ratification approach which was adapted by the ministry to achieve the goal of zero paper, in addition to a fourth platform allocated to medical and scientific publications, which is the first national platform for publishing scientific research in the field of medicine and various medical publications;as well as to a fifth platform for administrating university business incubators which are so far 84 incubators, and one last platform for obtaining clearance certificate.
On the same occasion, the minister gave the green light for the launch of a new application named ‘the student’s gate’, which is related to providing information about student life.
It is worth mentioning that the digital platforms programme consists in launching 42 platforms allocated to pedagogical and research life, and other 4 platforms related to the management of university services, such as transportation, accommodation and food.Moreover, the digital platforms programme seeks optimal management for the sector which watches over the elevation of the quality of education, and develop the readability of university on a global scale, and improve the global ranking of different institutions in the sector of higher education and scientific research.
